7 Bezalel St, in the center of Jerusalem, just adjacent to the old Bezalel Academy building, opened its doors once again in July 2011

Design in the City, an artist’s cooperative, brings twenty young designers and a bustling cafe together under one roof.  Housed in a building that Jerusalem old-timers still fondly remember as the home of Kolbo Houminer, the space has been cleverly divided to small artist’s studios where each designer has the opportunity to design, create and sell their work.

The designers, most being recent graduates of Israel’s top art and design schools, work in a variety of techniques and media, and in an array of styles. They represent the finest of Israel’s young ceramists, fashion, jewelry, Judaica and product designers--all working side by side in this invigorating new atmosphere.
