The Jerusalem Archaeological Park - Davidson Center

Just next to the Temple Mount, the visitor can climb up the original steps of the 2,000 years old Hulda Gates that lead to the Temple Mount during the secong Temple period. The archaeological park consists of Robinson's Arch, the Herodian Street, huge stones - fallen remains from the Temple Mount -A remembrance of the destruction in 70 AD , and other finds from various periods of the history of the city. 

The Davidson Center is located in the next to the Dung gate and the Western Wall. The Center combines an exhibition of a rich archaeological content and computerized media, artifacts exhibitions, and an illustrated and visual exhibition.

This exceptional area which has captivated the world’s imagination throughout history, has been designated as an archaeological park and open museum. Visitors to the Park follow events spanning some 5000 years, beginning with the Canaanite (Bronze) Age and continuing through the days of the Israelite monarchy in the First Temple period.

The splendors of the Second Temple and the impressive architecture of King Herod, dating to the second half of the first century BCE are a key element in the park, and the remains and monumental structures dating to the Christian and Muslim periods are clearly visible.The Southern Wall - The Temple Mount
