Today it  functions primarily on academic level, serving students from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome.

The Pontifical Biblical Institute, also known as ‘the Jesuit Fathers Museum’, which was established during 1920 by Father Prof. Alexis Mallon on the basis of his discoveries and purchases. Dont miss the outstanding collection of items from the Egyptian, Babylonian, Hellenistic, Roman and Arab periods make up the museum’s permanent collection of about 3,000 items.
